This carbon fiber fabric is manufactured using Hexcel IM7 intermediate‑modulus 6k carbon fiber yarn and woven in a 4‑harness satin (4HS) weave. The satin weave provides excellent drape and a smooth, refined surface finish, making it ideal for cosmetic and structural composite applications where appearance and performance are equally important.

Although woven from 6k tow, the finer yarn construction gives this fabric the visual appearance of a lighter fabric, while maintaining the strength and stiffness associated with IM7 carbon fiber. With a fabric weight of approximately 6 oz / 205 gsm and a finished width of 49" (124.5 cm), this material offers an excellent balance of conformability, surface quality, and structural capability.
