RDH-9386-99 RTM Hardener (Longer Pot life)
Description
RDH-9386-99 RTM Hardener – Long Pot Life Room Temperature Epoxy Hardener
RDH-9386-99 is a room temperature epoxy hardener formulated for RTM and closed-mold composite systems that need a longer pot life and controlled cure. It provides excellent wet-out and adhesion on carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar® reinforcements when used with compatible Premium Resin Tech RDR-series resins. With a pot life of approximately 60 minutes at 72 °F (200 g mass), RDH-9386-99 is ideal for larger parts, more complex molds, and production environments that require extended working time.
Key Features
- Extended pot life: ~60 minutes at 72 °F for improved flow and layup time in RTM and infusion processes.
- Room temperature cure: dependable cure schedule without the need for elevated initial cure temperatures.
- Excellent wetting & adhesion: designed for carbon, fiberglass, and Kevlar® reinforcement systems.
- High mechanical performance: supports strong tensile, flexural, and compressive properties in compatible resin systems.
- Production-ready: consistent behavior for repeatable closed-mold and RTM manufacturing.
Compatible Resins
Use RDH-9386-99 RTM Hardener with the following Premium Resin Tech epoxy resins:
- RDR-3121 High Impact / High Temp Vacuum Infusion Epoxy
RDR-3212 High Impact Room / High Temperature Laminating Resin
- RDR-3410 Room Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin
Available Package Sizes
- 2.75 lbs – approx. 1.25 Quarts
- 15 lbs – approx. 1.25 Gallons
Sold by weight: all containers are sold in pounds to ensure accurate metering and mix ratios.
Mixing & Use
- Mix only with the specified RDR-series resins at the recommended ratio by weight (see product TDS).
- Allow materials to reach shop temperature before mixing for predictable viscosity and cure behavior.
- Measure by weight and mix thoroughly, scraping bowl sides and bottom to achieve a uniform blend.
- Use in RTM, VARTM, and other closed-mold processes where a longer working time is required.
- Follow the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full cure schedules, post-cure options, and safety practices.
Applications
- RTM production of structural composite parts and panels.
- Automotive, industrial, and aerospace components requiring extended pot life at room temperature.
- Closed-mold laminates using carbon fiber, fiberglass, or Kevlar® reinforcements.
RDH-9386-99 RTM Hardener is part of the Premium Resin Tech family of epoxy systems, engineered for consistent, high-quality performance in demanding composite manufacturing environments.
