Description

1.5 Gallon Resin Trap Vacuum Chamber – Stainless Steel

Protect your vacuum pump during resin infusion and bagging with this professional-grade 1.5 gal stainless-steel catch pot/vacuum chamber. The clear gauge and robust valve/manifold make it easy to monitor and control your system, while the reversible industrial silicone gasket seals fast and lasts longer. Designed and tested in the USA, each chamber is checked to ensure minimal leak rate before shipping.

Key Features

  • Stainless-steel chamber with clear, easy-reading glycerin-filled vacuum gauge
  • Reversible silicone gasket (~60A durometer) for long service life; no adhesive required
  • Leak-free nickel-plated manifold with vacuum connect & release valves
  • Universal 1/4" female-flare pump adapter for 1/4" ID vacuum hose
  • 5 ft clear steel-reinforced vacuum hose included
  • 50-micron air filter & 8" × 8" platinum-cured non-stick VacPad™

Performance

  • Max vacuum (typical): near full vacuum at sea level (gauge indication ~-29 inHg)
  • Vacuum vessel temperature use: up to 160 °F (higher-rated components elsewhere in the system)
  • Gasket seal temperature: approx. 390–392 °F
  • Every chamber is tested prior to shipment to lose no more than ~2.5 inHg/24 hrs

Internal Dimensions

  • Height: 8-5/8" (approx.)
  • Diameter: 7-1/8" (approx.)
  • Capacity: 1.5 gal (5.7 L)

Kit Includes

  • 1 × 1.5 gallon stainless-steel chamber
  • 1 × Industrial-grade reversible silicone gasket (~60A durometer)
  • 1 × Glycerin-filled vacuum gauge (regulate on initial use)
  • 1 × Leak-free nickel-plated air manifold with release & connect valves
  • 1 × 1/4" female-flare universal pump adapter (for 1/4" ID hose)
  • 1 × 5 ft clear steel-reinforced vacuum hose
  • 1 × 50-micron air filter
  • 1 × 8" × 8" platinum-cured silicone non-stick VacPad™

Good Practice

  • Place the trap between the part and pump so accidental resin reaches the pot—not the pump.
  • Apply a light mold release inside the chamber for easier cleanout of cured resin “pucks”.
  • Stabilize (regulate) the glycerin gauge on first use per manufacturer’s guidance.

Specifications

  • Chamber material: Stainless steel
  • Gasket: Silicone, reversible (~60A)
  • Operational temp (as vacuum vessel): up to 160 °F
  • Seal temp: approx. 390–392 °F
