Unidirectional

Unidirectional (UD) carbon fabrics concentrate fibers in the 0° direction for maximum axial stiffness and strength. Stabilized with light scrim or stitching for easy handling, they wet out quickly and pair well with off-axis plies to tune layups. Available in 12k–50k tows and ~190–400+ gsm from leading fibers like Hexcel IM, Zoltek PX35, and Hyosung—ideal for spar caps, stringers, panels, and high-load structures by vacuum bagging or infusion.
