1702-006 Duratec Black Vinyl Ester Primer - 1 Gal
Description
1702-006 Duratec Black Vinyl Ester Primer – 1 Gallon
Duratec Black Vinyl Ester Primer 1702-006 is a high-quality, high-build primer designed for composite and marine surfaces. As an integral part of the Duratec Marine System, this vinyl ester primer provides long-lasting protection, excellent adhesion, and a smooth, sandable surface for topcoats and gelcoats. It is ideal for composite yacht priming, osmosis and blister repairs, pattern surfacing, and mold surfacing above and below the waterline.
Formulated for professional boatyards and composite fabricators, Duratec Vinyl Ester Primer can be applied with a sprayer, roller, or brush to save time and labor. Catalyzed with MEKP-925 (sold separately), it offers rapid cure and is typically ready to sand in 1–4 hours, depending on film thickness and temperature. The primer builds to as much as 40 mils (1000 microns) wet on vertical surfaces without sagging, producing a tough, crack-resistant film with excellent water and heat resistance.
