Airtech Ipplon® WN1500 - High Temperature Nylon Vacuum Bagging Film
Description
Airtech Ipplon® WN1500 – High-Temperature Nylon Vacuum Bagging Film – 60" Centerfold (opens to 120")
Ipplon® WN1500 is a heat-stabilized nylon bagging film engineered for demanding composite cures requiring high temperature and high pressure. Rated for cure temperatures up to 475°F (246°C), WN1500 delivers excellent elongation and drape to help prevent bridging in corners, plus strong chemical resistance that stands up to aggressive resin chemistries—making it a recommended choice for phenolic resin processing. The 60" centerfold format opens to a full 120" width, reducing seams and speeding layups on large parts and molds.
Key Features
- Material: Heat-stabilized nylon vacuum bagging film
- Max Use Temperature: up to 475°F (246°C)
- Chemical Resistance: Suitable for aggressive systems; recommended for phenolic cures
- Drape & Elongation: Soft, conformable film helps avoid bridging and resin-rich areas
- Strength: Reliable tear/puncture resistance for secure vacuum during long, hot cycles
- Format: 60" centerfold (opens to 120") for large tools and panels with fewer seams
- Process Compatible: Autoclave, OOA/prepreg, resin infusion, and hand layup
Typical Applications
- High-temperature autoclave cycles and pressure cures
- Phenolic resin laminates for aerospace, transportation, and industrial components
- Large molds, panels, hulls, and structures where wide film reduces leak paths
Processing Guidelines
- Unfold centerfold film to full 120" width; use compatible high-temperature sealant tape and ancillaries.
- Protect film from sharp edges; tape corners and radii to prevent pinholes/tears.
- Leak-check the bag prior to heat-up and maintain vacuum throughout the full cure cycle (do not exceed 475°F).
