This premium carbon cloth is woven from Hexcel IM 12K intermediate-modulus fiber in a balanced 2×2 twill pattern. IM fibers provide a significant increase in tensile strength and stiffness compared with standard-modulus grades while maintaining excellent drape and a refined cosmetic. Because the IM filaments are finer, the 12K tow presents a visual appearance similar to 6K while delivering higher mechanical performance.
