Carbon Fiber Fabric Biaxial +45/-45 Degree 24k 23.89oz/810gsm Hyosung H-2550
Description
Carbon Fiber Fabric – Biaxial ±45° (24k) · 50in/127cm · 23.89 oz/810 gsm · Hyosung H-2550
Built for serious structural work, this heavy-duty non-crimp biaxial fabric uses Hyosung H-2550, 24k PAN-based carbon fiber oriented at ±45°. The tows are held with a light stitch so fibers remain straight (no woven crimp), providing excellent shear and torsional performance in thick, highly durable laminates. At 810 gsm (23.89 oz/yd²) and 0.035" nominal thickness, it is ideal as a bulk/structural ply or core build-up layer beneath an outer cosmetic skin.
Key benefits
- Balanced ±45° layup delivers superior shear and torsional stiffness.
- Non-crimp stitched (NCF) construction minimizes fiber waviness and improves mechanicals.
- Very high areal weight (810 gsm) for rapid thickness build and impact resistance.
- 24k Hyosung H-2550 fibers for dependable strength at a value price.
- Processes well with wet layup, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion.
Recommended uses
Structural plies, bulk build-up under cosmetic layers, marine panels and stringers, off-road/automotive parts, tooling back-ups, robotic and industrial structures, and composite repairs where high strength and thickness are required. Note: stitch lines and heavy weight make this fabric unsuitable for exposed cosmetic finishes.
Processing & compatibility
- Compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resins.
- Designed for structural laminates; use an appropriate resin/epoxy system for your process.

Sold by the linear yard (36" length x 50" width) Multiple yardages will be rolled on one continuous roll when possible.
How We Sell
We sell this fabric by the linear yard. You will receive a continuous piece of fabric at the width listed.
For example, if the fabric is 50" wide, a quantity of 1 (linear yard) equals a continuous piece measuring 50" wide × 36" long. A quantity of 5 (linear yards) equals a continuous piece measuring 50" wide × 180" long.
