Hexcel PrimeTex® 48192 Carbon Fiber Fabric — 12K Spread-Tow, Plain Weave, 5.66 oz (192 gsm)
Engineered for high-performance laminates and premium cosmetics, this fabric uses Toray® T700 12K fiber with Hexcel’s PrimeTex® spreading process. Fibers are spread in both warp and weft to deliver near-gapless coverage, low porosity, and a smooth, uniform checkerboard finish that requires less post-finishing. The spread-tow plain weave also lowers crimp, improving load transfer and helping reduce resin uptake for lighter, stiffer parts.
