Carbon Fiber Fabric Quadaxial 0/+45/90/-45 Degree 50k 50in/127cm 11.8oz/400gsm Zoltek PX35 Fiber
Description
Description
Carbon Fiber Fabric – Quadraxial 0/+45/90/−45 · 50k · 50"/127 cm · 11.8 oz/400 gsm · Zoltek PX35
This quadraxial (0/+45/90/−45) carbon fiber is manufactured with Zoltek PX35 50k heavy-tow fibers and stitched into a non-crimp multi-axial architecture. The straight, uncrimped fibers deliver high fiber efficiency and predictable mechanical properties while the four orientations provide balanced, quasi-isotropic reinforcement. At 400 gsm (11.8 oz) and 50" (127 cm) wide, this fabric is an excellent structural ply when you want stiffness in all directions with fewer layers than conventional wovens.
Why you’ll like it
- True four-axis reinforcement (0/±45/90) for quasi-isotropic laminates.
- Non-crimp stitched construction keeps fibers straight, reduces resin consumption and wets out quickly.
- Efficient layups at 400 gsm for fast build with moderate weight.
- Compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resin systems and common processes (hand layup, vacuum bagging, infusion).
Typical applications
Structural skins and cores for marine panels, wind and energy components, automotive and motorsport parts, UAV/robotics structures, industrial covers, and tooling back-ups. For a cosmetic top surface, finish with a woven carbon cloth or veil over this structural ply.
