PRO-SET® ACE-166 Surfboard Epoxy is a brilliant, ultra-clear laminating and hot-coat resin engineered for high-volume surfboard production. Designed for fast flip times, excellent sandability, and outstanding cosmetics in the showroom and on the waves, ACE-166 delivers a bright, glassy finish with superior UV and color stability. Optical brighteners enhance whites and colors, bringing out the best in today’s foam blanks and artwork.
ACE-166 is the “Absolute Clear” surfboard resin in the PRO-SET line, ideal when you need a colorless clear finish over dark surfaces or wood while maintaining professional-grade durability and gloss.

Mixing & Use
- Mix only with PRO-SET Surfboard Hardeners ACE-262 or ACE-265 at a 2:1 resin-to-hardener ratio by volume.
- Condition materials to a consistent shop temperature before mixing for predictable viscosity and cure.
- Blend thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom of the container to achieve a streak-free, uniform mix.
- Use ACE-166 for laminating, hot-coating, and clear-finish work over foam blanks, wood, or color work.
- Allow full room-temperature cure before sanding and polishing to a high-gloss professional finish.
