TeXtreme® WT1117 is a premium spread-tow hybrid fabric that blends high-modulus (HM) carbon fiber with Zylon® (PBO) in an ultra-uniform construction. Instead of conventional woven tows, the fibers are spread into thin tapes (≈20 mm in this style) and interlaced with minimal crimp. The result is a laminate with outstanding axial stiffness from HM carbon, plus the impact resistance, cut/abrasion toughness and damping that Zylon® provides— all at an areal weight of just 3.92 oz (≈133 gsm).
Why spread-tow TeXtreme®?

Processing notes
- Place the non-binder face against the mold for the best cosmetic finish.
- Binder softens around ~65 °F (18 °C) to aid consolidation at room temperature; vacuum bagging is recommended.
- Use sharp shears/knives; the binder minimizes fray and keeps fibers aligned for accurate lay-up.
