Duratec High Viscosity Sunshield – Clear UV Topcoat
Duratec® High Viscosity Sunshield is a premium, clear polyester UV-protective topcoat designed to keep composite and wood projects looking new, even under intense sun exposure. Engineered for superior color retention and gloss, this air-cure, pre-promoted coating resists yellowing, chalking, and surface degradation far better than conventional gelcoats or clear finishes.
With a higher viscosity formula for excellent pore filling and flow, Sunshield produces a smooth, “wet-look” surface that sands and polishes easily. It is ideal for exterior carbon fiber parts, fiberglass panels, marine applications, and outdoor wood furniture where long-term clarity and durability are critical.

Duratec High Viscosity Sunshield is compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resins, allowing use as an in-mold or post-mold coating. It requires an MEKP 925 catalyst (sold separately) for activation.
