Airtech Ipplon® KM1300 - Nylon Vacuum Bagging Film
Description
Airtech Ipplon® KM1300 – Nylon Vacuum Bagging Film
Ipplon® KM1300 is a durable, heat-stabilized nylon bagging film engineered for composite processing where soft drape, high elongation, and reliable vacuum integrity are essential. With a maximum use temperature up to 414°F (212°C), KM1300 performs in oven cure, out-of-autoclave, resin infusion, and autoclave applications. The film’s pliable hand bridges complex contours and corners, while wide centerfold formats reduce seams and speed layups on large parts.
Key Features
- Material: Heat-stabilized nylon vacuum bagging film
- Max Use Temperature: Up to 414°F (212°C)
- Thickness Options: .002" (≈0.051 mm) and .003" (≈0.076 mm)
- Drape & Elongation: Soft, conformable film helps prevent bridging and simplifies corner details
- Wide Formats: 120", 144", 160" centerfold for large tools; 25" and 60" for general use
- Strength: Good tear and puncture resistance for dependable vacuum hold
- Process Compatible: Suited for infusion, prepreg, OOA, and autoclave cycles
Typical Applications
- Vacuum bagging of hand layup, infusion, and prepreg laminates
- Large composite structures where fewer seams are preferred (hulls, decks, panels, molds)
- General aerospace, marine, automotive, industrial, and tooling processes
Processing Guidelines
- Select .002" for general/light laminates and .003" when extra robustness is desired.
- Use with compatible sealant tape, breather/bleeder, and release films per your process.
- Protect the film from sharp edges and trim; maintain vacuum and cure within the 414°F limit.
- Centerfold film is supplied folded to half width for handling; unfold fully at layup.
