Airtech – VAC RIC (Resin Infusion Connector) – Through-Bag Port (1/2" & 3/4" hole sizes)

The Airtech VAC RIC provides a quick, inexpensive, and reliable through-bag connection for vacuum manifolds and resin feed lines in low-temperature resin infusion applications. Use it to make a clean port through the vacuum bag for spiral wrap manifolds or polyethylene feed/vacuum tubing without bulky fittings.

Installation (typical)

1. Select a VAC RIC size that matches the tube/spiral being used. Position the RIC where the line will pass through the bag and complete the vacuum bag layup.
2. Cut the polyethylene tube on a shallow angle and apply a wrap of vacuum sealant tape above the cut.
3. Smooth the bag film over the RIC and pierce the film with the angled tube, pushing through until the tacky tape seals the interface. Connect to spiral wrap or manifold as required.
