Composite Envsions Infusion Hardener
Description
Composite Envisions Infusion Hardeners – Fast, Medium & Slow
Composite Envisions Infusion Hardeners are a two-component, low-viscosity epoxy system developed for resin infusion and VARTM processes. These hardeners are formulated to deliver excellent fiber wet-out, reliable curing, and strong mechanical properties when used with compatible infusion resins. Designed for professional composite manufacturing, they provide consistent performance and clarity across a range of reinforcement materials including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar.
Available Cure Speeds
- Fast Hardener: Ideal for smaller parts, cooler environments, or projects requiring short gel times and quick demolding.
- Medium Hardener: Balanced gel time for general-purpose infusion applications and moderate shop temperatures.
- Slow Hardener: Extended open time for larger layups, complex geometries, or warmer ambient conditions.
Available Sizes
- 0.25 Gallon
- 1.6 Gallon
Key Features
- Low mixed viscosity ensures rapid wet-out and complete fiber saturation.
- Consistent cure and strong bond development with minimal air entrapment.
- High mechanical strength, clarity, and stability for professional-grade laminates.
- Optimized for vacuum infusion and VARTM—excellent flow through dense reinforcements.
- Not intended for open mold applications.
Mixing & Use
Mix resin and hardener thoroughly at the specified ratio for at least 3 minutes using a low-speed mixer to reduce air entrapment. Apply under stable shop conditions (68–77°F) for best results. After room-temperature cure, an optional post-cure of 8 hours at 180°F is recommended for maximum performance. Always follow proper ventilation, safety, and handling guidelines when using epoxy systems.
Applications
- Vacuum infusion and VARTM of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aramid reinforcements.
- Marine, automotive, and aerospace structural laminates.
- Panels, hulls, decks, molds, and performance composite components.
Note: Do not weld, burn, or torch near epoxy materials. Refer to product TDS/SDS before use. Cure times and handling depend on hardener type, ambient temperature, and part thickness.
