RDR-3250 High Temperature Clear Laminating Resin
Description
RDR-3250 High Temperature Clear Laminating Resin
RDR-3250 is an unfilled, high temperature clear laminating epoxy resin from Premium Resin Tech, designed for both elevated-temperature and room-temperature composite applications. This rigid laminating system offers a high degree of toughness and compressive strength with heat distortion temperatures in the 300–325 °F range (depending on hardener selection and post-cure). RDR-3250 delivers excellent chemical resistance while providing strong adhesion and wet-out on Kevlar®, carbon fiber, and fiberglass reinforcements.
Key Features
- High temperature capable: HDT of approximately 300–325 °F with the appropriate hardener and post-cure.
- Clear, rigid laminating resin for tooling and structural parts where visibility and dimensional stability matter.
- Excellent chemical resistance for demanding industrial, automotive, and aerospace environments.
- Outstanding wetting and adhesion on Kevlar®, carbon, and fiberglass cloth reinforcements.
- Room-temperature cure: laminates typically reach a demoldable state overnight at ambient temperature.
Compatible Hardeners (Sold Separately)
- RDH-9106 High Temperature Slow Cure Hardener – pot life of ~1.5 hours at 72 °F, HDT around 300 °F.
- RDH-9234 Room Temperature / High Temperature Hardener – pot life of ~2 hours at 72 °F, HDT around 325 °F.
Available Package Sizes
- 8 lbs – approx. 1 Gallon
- 45 lbs – approx. 5 Gallons
Sold by weight: all sizes are sold in pounds to ensure accurate metering and mix ratios. Larger quantities (drums and totes) are also available for production use.
Mixing & Use
- Mix only with RDH-9106 or RDH-9234 hardeners at the specified ratio by weight (see product TDS).
- Allow resin and hardener to reach shop temperature before mixing for predictable viscosity and cure.
- Measure by weight and blend thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the container to achieve a uniform mixture.
- For room-temperature applications, laminates may be demolded after overnight cure; for high-temperature service, follow the recommended post-cure schedule to reach full mechanical and thermal properties.
Typical Applications
- High temperature composite tooling, molds, and fixtures.
- Clear structural laminates using Kevlar®, carbon fiber, or fiberglass reinforcements.
- Industrial, automotive, and aerospace parts exposed to moderate to high service temperatures.
Premium Resin Tech products are engineered and manufactured in the USA to help fabricators produce high-quality composite tools and parts with reliable, cost-effective epoxy systems. Always consult the latest Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
