RDH-9106 High Temperature Slow Cure Hardener
Description
RDH-9106 High Temperature Slow Cure Hardener
RDH-9106 is a slow-curing, high temperature epoxy hardener designed for laminating, casting, and tooling applications that require extended working time and excellent thermal performance. When paired with compatible Premium Resin Tech resins, RDH-9106 provides outstanding wet-out, strong mechanical properties, and reliable heat resistance for demanding composite parts and tools.
Key Features
- Slow cure speed: extended pot life gives more time for wetting heavy reinforcements and complex molds.
- High temperature capability: formulated for use in laminating systems that are post-cured for elevated HDT.
- Excellent wetting & adhesion: bonds well to carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other common reinforcements.
- Strong mechanical performance: supports high tensile, flexural, and compressive strengths in compatible resin systems.
- Ideal for production tooling and structural parts where both heat resistance and long working time are required.
Compatible Resins
Use RDH-9106 High Temperature Slow Cure Hardener with the following Premium Resin Tech products:
- RDR-1902 high temperature black surface coat
RDR-3250 laminating/tooling resin
- RDR-1302 High Temperature Aluminum Filled Surface Coat

Available Package Sizes
- 7 oz
- 2 lbs – approx. 1 Quart
- 8 lbs
- 12 lbs – approx. 1.25 Gallons
Sold by weight: all sizes are sold in pounds to ensure accurate metering and mix ratios.
Mixing & Use
- Mix only with the specified RDR-series resins or RDR Paste Carbon at the recommended ratio by weight (see TDS).
- Allow resin and hardener to reach shop temperature before mixing for predictable viscosity and cure.
- Measure by weight, then blend thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the container to achieve a uniform mix.
- Apply in laminating, casting, or paste tooling applications where a slow cure and high temperature performance are needed.
- Follow the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for full cure schedule and any required post-cure steps to reach ultimate properties.
Applications
- High temperature composite laminates and structural parts.
- Epoxy tooling, molds, and fixtures exposed to elevated temperatures.
- Carbon fiber paste tooling and high-temp repair using RDR Paste Carbon.
For best results, always review the latest Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Use the resin and hardener shortly after purchase to ensure quality results and proper curing.
